Hello, I'm Hannah Leasure, a recent graduate from the University of Toledo with a Masters of Arts in Counselor Education. My journey with Unity began during my practicum in January 2023, and I've since found immense joy in working with clients of all backgrounds. My passion lies in working with children and families, utilizing a person-centered approach that prioritizes empathy, active listening, and reflective techniques in building strong therapeutic relationships and effective treatments.
Outside of my professional life, I cherish moments spent eating good food, enjoying the company of my husband, and playing with our beloved dog, Jax. I'm also a dedicated "Swifty" and find inspiration and relaxation in music. |

My name is Angelica Callahan - a licensed social worker located in Perrysburg, Ohio. I began my journey in social services in 2012 - diving into the mental health world working with children and families with dual diagnoses. From there I went to the local county board of developmental disabilities where I assisted individuals of all ages (toddler age to senior age) in service coordination. Most recently, I have been working in medical social work, where I have been assisting individuals to reach their health/long term related goals. I am excited to be a part of the Unity Counseling team as their passion to assist their clientele is unmatched! Their person-centered care really guarantees personal growth - and I am so thankful to begin this journey with them as a new clinician on their team!

My name is Natalie Benesh. I recently passed my licensure exam in marriage and family therapy (LMFT) after obtaining my master’s of science in MFT from Capella University in 2019. I have spent the last few years working as a case manager for OhioGuidestone while preparing for my licensure exam. During my time at OhioGuidestone, I was able to work with clients and groups within a wide range of demographics. Prior to that, I received my BA in psychology from the University of Dayton in 2012 and have been pursuing a career as a therapist ever since.

I have experience advocating for clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, experience in Therapeutic Behavioral Services, Crisis Prevention Interventions, including but not limited to domestic violence, substance abuse, neglect, and the LGBTQ community. My name is Kiara Byrd and I am a counseling intern at Unity. I earned a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Toledo in 2021. I am currently a graduate student in the Counselor Education program at the University of Toledo. I have been completing my internship experience in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Unity Counseling since August 2023 and graduate this May 2024. My interest in counseling includes, Person Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical behavior therapy. My theoretical approach includes providing and practicing with my clients with healthy life skills to be able to implement in their everyday life. The therapeutic relationship is a safe place for clients to explore, understand, and cope with their mental health concerns and to promote well-being. In our time together, we will collaborate on your treatment goals and the best strategies for you to accomplish those goals. This counseling relationship is temporary; counseling services will be terminated when we mutually affirm that you have met your goals.

Hello , my name is Leah Goodwin, and I am currently obtaining my MSW at Indiana Wesleyan University, in hopes to become an LSW. I have experience with multiple populations specifically with domestic violence victims and advocating for them with in a courtroom. I look forward to expanding on my knowledge and help serve this community to the best of my abilities.
